Matthew Isles
Director
Matthew is one of the founding directors of Occasio Australia and was instrumental in securing the initial agreement with A G Barr and subsequent development and structure of Occasio.
Matthews background lies with FMCG and over his 15 years in the industry his experience has been encompassing high level grocery and route account management. His last 10 years prior to establishing Occasio Australia were spent with Mars Confectionary, where he was instrumental in taking the business into new categories such as licensing, sugar and biscuits. As well as working on the key brands such as M&M's, Mars and Snickers.
He holds a tremendous amount of knowledge across the industry and is passionate about the opportunities Occasio Australia withholds.
Matthew's core strengths lie in blank paper business and brand development, business building, medium to long term strategic and product development.
Scott Lowe
Director
Scott Lowe spent eight years in Corporate Grocery with Coles Supermarkets. He then joined MARS Australia and performed a number of roles over a career spanning almost twelve years.
Starting in Field Sales at the coal face he progressed to Sales Line Management and has managed field teams in SA, NT, NSW, and Nationally comprising up to eighty people.
National Account roles held include Woolworths, Caltex, BP, Mobil, 7 Eleven, Hoyts, & Greater Union. He has been accountable for Sales Targets exceeding $100 million and trade spend budgets of up to $20 million.
Based on his experience, passion for learning and broad range of functional sales roles, his most recent role within MARS was assessing and providing training needs for a population of 240 sales associates across Australia. This is rated as ‘Global Best Practice’ within the company.
His formal qualifications include a Bachelor of Business with majors in Marketing & Human Resource Management, and a Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment.
Renee Giarrusso
National Sales Manager
Renee has a background of over 15 years in senior management & national account roles within FMCG, with a high level of experience in managing teams and accounts within the Food and Confectionery channels of Masterfoods ANZ. Renee was instrumental in pioneering the new Business channel for Mars Snackfood from grass roots level to a national profit generating channel that it is today. Renee has a tertiary background in Business and Marketing, Cert IV in Coaching and is an advanced practitioner in executive Coach Mastery & NLP. She has also completed a corporate leadership certification and is an Advanced Practitioner in the iWAM work profiling tool.
Renee has a passion for sales, marketing and people and enjoys the challenge of growing existing business and new business development in the impulse and grocery sectors. Her role for Occasio involves securing and managing major National and state Accounts, and staff training and development.
Brett Reddell
National Field Sales Manager
Brett’s whole career has revolved around customer service from his days in small grocery retail through dealing with corporate accounts. Brett started in an independent grocery business moving to Brisbane to join one of Australia’s largest retail giants. After this 8 year career he left and joined one of the worlds’s leading Tobacco Companies and moved his way into Key Accounts within the New Zealand market, Brett left to buy his own business and now has joined Occasio Australia.
Brett’s background in retail sees Occasio Australia well set to grow rapidly within the aggressive drinks market. With effective strategies we will see our fantastic Wimmers brand be a force in this growing market. Brett’s motto is “in stock on time all the time” and with his customer service focus will see our professional sales team develop the category within our key clients.
Sarah Woodside
Marketing & Media Officer
Sarah’s background lies within marketing and advertising. She has a tertiary background in Business and hopes to further pursue studies in design. Sarah’s passions include marketing and the innovation and design of new products. Her role for Occasio Australia is to give the company’s products market presence which will help them grow and excel in the competitive market of beverages.
